Christian Nation?

I love it when it seems that God is bringing things together from different sources that somehow synthesize to reveal His truth. Here’s an example.

First Thread

A few days ago I received a forwarded Email ardently defending the claim that the USA always has been and indeed continues to be a Christian nation. Here’s an excerpt: “I watched in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. . .’We are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists … we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation!”

 

First Post

I am excited to be making an initial post to this new blog for Church of Jesus the Reconciler in Washington, D. C. The church is in its embryonic stage as we’re in the team formation process. I hope to use this blog to share the vision for Jesus the Reconciler that I believe God has called me to pursue. Our website is in its final construction phase and thanks to the great work of summer intern Ben Taylor, it should be running well by week’s end. That is www.jesusthereconciler.org. As a synopsis, Church of Jesus the Reconciler seeks to be a safe place for questions and doubts to be expressed … a place where different kinds of people come together because they have a common love for Jesus Christ who has reconciled them to God. The intent is for small groups to be at the core of the church’s life. My prayer is that countless lives will be transformed and relationships restored by Jesus the Reconciler through the agency of His church.
